  What are the levels/ranks within the Jehovah's Witnesses

  growing up as jw it was constantly drummed into us that we're not like churches having different classes (e.g.

  preists).

  however it is quite apparent that there are ranks within the jehovah's witnesses.. this is the list i have so far.

  0 .5. Person you meet in a parking lot who gives you his or her address, so you can visit them with a car load of friends.

  0-.6 person you meet, turns out to be a prank or false address but someone opens the door. Oppertunity?

  1. Householder

  2. Potential Call

  3. Call/ Return Visit.

  4. Return Visit with a potential for "door step" Bible study.

  5. Return Visit who now allows for a "door step" Bible Study, when the JW or the RV keeps his appointment.

  6. Regular "door step" Bible study, student now opens the door on a regular basis.

  7. Bible Study that allows the JW to enter his or her home/ if not, you study out in front of their house, near by park or in your car.

  We have barely scratched the surface with labels and definitons, and I probably have missed a few numbers in this subset.

  Elihu Books Website, Why Is Web Traffic So Limited?

  i checked out elihu books, the website looks decent and the writer does his due diligence.

  the next step was to look at the "message boards" which appeared to have virtually no traffic.

  why is elihu a virtual ghostown, with little webtraffic, (i looked at the postboard counts)?

Why is Elihu a virtual ghostown, with little webtraffic, (I looked at the postboard counts)? There was one area, that did creep me out, just a tiny bit, a strange thread on "qoutes".

  these notes were sent to me from a close friend who is biding his time to leave.. some of this we have read about already, the demo with the two brothers and the damage control they are doing over the ridiculous generation nonsense, but the thing about "thought control"tm i had not heard before...... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

  you learn something new every day at the 'sembly.

  today at the 'sembly we were educated on the importance of, and i quote, "practicing thought control" .

  Was there any mention that playing "Halo, Mass Effect, Call Of Duty, Grand Theft" will automatically count as being labled "Bad Association"? Last year we endured as Brother Waldo lambasted those who play these video games. How terrible video games are!

  The next old-timer (Or was it Waldo D.O. again?) went off, how oral sex was fornication, how adult married couples would not practice such dirty sex acts. "These acts would be found in the "house of a prostitute", "you are in violation of fornication, if you participate in this catagory" the Sheep of this "Two Day" received such enlightment and guilt, how sex in the married couples bedroom should be done.

  I wanted to ask his wife, if she ever had a "O", or if that was a shamefull experience, most old-time JW women should not have to endure. I do ponder if these old men would allow female circumcision to be performed, since they don't care to much on woman's enjoyment of the sex experience.

  however i'm going to direct my thoughts and comments in this initial post to lurking jehovah's witnesses who may read on this board and may be sitting on the fence pondering on whether to stay in the jehovah's witnesses organization.

  also to newer members who may have joined the board.. in this latest 4/15 wt in the article , " jehovah knows how to deliver his people " it conveys the thought that only the wt society ( through god's help ) will be guiding any jw's through the alleged " armageddon " considered god's war against the wicked.

  @djegg I think you now understand the frustration of many of the Witnesses on this subject, and how badly it was presented to us. I

  wish the emphasis would be placed on "love and fine conduct, charity and acts of compassion", instead we are heading down the road of Bible

  speculation, genealogies, man made philosophies, "which do not upbuild but tear down". You being a Bible scholar know that Jesus Christ message

  was not to to pretend we know all the Bible prophecies (example Revelation book, with unprovable interpretations) but to reflect on the "more

  weighty matters" of Obedience, Love, Forgiveness, Empathy, Compassion. A grassroots movement of trying to reconnect with the Master's

  ideals appears to be the only way to combat, the rigid, dogmatic and spiritual starvation (people are losing interest in the Bible) by play acting,

  instead of "Intentionally Living For Jehovah and Jesus Christ." Thank you again for taking your time to respond to the many posts. Peace!

  Why benefit is there to be a elder, while you are activily lying or slandering the little sheep. I know the Society is desperate for elders and servants

  (at what cost do you keep a bad man?),and this man has avoided many attacks against him, by lying, ducking and blamming others for his wicked

  actions. So back to the original question, Why be an elder when you behavebadly, is it for business reasons, personal prestige or boredom? I do

  know he gets off by making other elders that don't kiss his ass, move away or be deleted.

  Some Witnesses Seem To Relish Bad News

  it may be just my imagination,but sometimes i think witnesses get overly excited when a natural disaster or some violent event happens.

  i guess they feel it proves their point on how awful things are.. my mother seems to be this way.

  she seemed elated to tell me about a couple shootings that took place in our city today.

  Have you regained your Self Esteem after being " Used " by the WT society ?

  in this book on mind control cults and recovering from abusive relationships that my wife and i are reading titled , " take back your life " by janja lalich & madeleine tobias - it discusses in detail how damage we've received from cults or abusive relationships stays with us after we exit .

  in the chapter " coping with emotions " it states some interesting things under the subheading " loss of self esteem ".. it states regarding after leaving a cult ( jw's, scientology, etc.

  The constant reminders of "how much more we could do in the Field Ministry" at every meeting, in every publication, each conversation with pious ones, will drain you of your soul, resulting in lower self-esteem. Trying to rack your brain, asking yourself "It must be me, because everyone else shakes their heads in agreement, when speakers preach "We are the happiest people, we have the most loving brotherhood, we have something the world will never attain, a peaceful unity" will drain your self-esteem by listening to this non sense.
